I think you would be better off with an actual dye. The coloring in cola drinks is water soluble and would wash right out uming it did anything at all. The phosphoric acid in drinks has a very low concentration and, frankly, it's not very acidic. Phosphoric acid is a very weak acid. It provides a lite "bite",taste-wise, but little more.
