Can you check my grammar please?

Kilroot High School has been taking part in trying to make our enviroment greener by reducing carbon footprints, which the school itself, has been producing. Every year, most of the school equipment is resued as long as its qualitly can still serve its purpose. (I suggest delete the next sentence since it is a bit confusing)
