Having a repeat C-Section?

I'm having a repeat C-Section this Friday at 37 weeks. I was hoping for a VBAC this time, but I have low fluid, and since my first was a C-Section it's not safe to use pitocin, and the baby is breech, and with low fluid levels they don't feel it's safe to try and do a version. With my first I had the epidural already from labor, and so that's what they went with, but they ended up putting me under completely in the end since the epidural only took affect of half my body. I'm wondering how many people had an epidural with a planned c-section and how many had the spinal...anyone have a preferance? If you had the spinal how long did you have to wait until you could get up and move around? Thanks.
