Stock Market cap and share question?

I am thinking about buying stock in a company. This company has a market cap of 109.80M. But for the "Shares" it says it has 142.60M. Does this mean anything? Is this bad? I have no idea what that means. But I thought a company can only have a certain amount of stocks sold (109.80M) in this case. But it says there are 142.60M shares. What does this all mean? Also what is the "Vol / Avg?" If the Vol/Avg is at 3.53M/2.18M, what does that mean? And what is the "Inst. Own" and the "EPS"?
