Do people go to church for their own selfish desire?

Yes, of course people go to church for their own selfish desires! I've done it myself and I'm an atheist. An established church has networking and social benefits. One time I was new in town and needed to find a job fast so I went to a service at a local mega church. After the service they served free breakfast. I went to the breakfast and introduced myself to the pastor, told him I was new in town, squeezing in that I was looking for a job. He introduced me to people and before breakfast was over I was given a job. It was awesome. I didn't even claim to be a Christian either. I was just dressed nice at a church and said that I needed a job.
