My best friends ex-girlfriend won't let him go to any prenatal examines...?

I don't know what to tell my best friend. He is stressing and wants to be there for his baby. His ex-girlfriend said he gets no say in the baby name and he is not allowed to go with her to get the sonogram. He is worried that she'll not even let him there when the baby is born. What is his legal rights? In Ontario that is. Any helpful advice I can tell him would be gratefully accepted.
