Club Penguin Help?? (Newbie here)?

Pins only come out every Thursday, if I remember. The only freebies you can get are the pins, backgrounds, coins, and a surprise (usually a background) if you find items hidden around Club Penguin (it's not very often these happen). On certain holidays, sometimes there's a pile of free hats or scarves, etc. people can take during say Christmas, or any other holiday like that.
